Mai Chan usually gets up around 7:00 AM since that is when my wife is up making breakfast for the kids. If she needs to relieve herself, we will let her go outside, but she can also use the doggy door and use the back porch area.
Around breakfast time, we will feed her dog food (Blue Buffalo). Later on, we will walk her around the neighborhood. When she comes back into the house, she will expect a snack.
Mai Chan will follow my wife around the house all day long. I will sometimes I will play with her during work breaks. Also, she will perform her duties as a guard dog and bark at people and their dogs walking in front of the house. Noonish, she gets excited by the smell of lunch, so we give her a snack to keep her happy.
In the afternoon, she likes to be in the sun for warmth. If you have a place that is sunny, she will probably end up there. Mai Chan is fairly independent, but will always have time for you. She particular likes to be talked to, petted and hear her name called out.
Dinner time is near repeat of lunch. We will feed her dog food again and walk her around the neighborhood. Since it is gets dark outside by this time, she will be calmer and more attentive.
As far as bedtime, she will sleep inside the portable crate. We do not zip the doors up, so she can roam around the house if she wants to. Still, she prefers to sleep and stays put throughout the night.
